MLWA Public Education Projects
 

Highlight the ways Mirror Lake is AT RISK  including from invasive plants.

Encourage people to consider things they can do to reduce their personal "impact" on Mirror Lake water quality.
 

Reprint and distribute to the public the pamphlets entitled "Save That Lake" and "Don't Feed the Ducks" (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
 

Distribute to the public information on "lake-friendly" lawn care, fauna and flora of the Mirror Lake watershed, and other subjects (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
 

Buy and post public awareness posters highlighting  non-point source causes of water pollution in cooperation with The Lake Champlain Basin Program.  These posters are listed below in .pdf file format (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Participate in the Annual July 4th "Peoples' Parade" with a float featuring "Norbert" the frog and drawing attention to the work the MLWA does.
 

Post signs along with doggie bag stations to highlight the importance of disposing of pet wastes in a manner that protects Mirror Lake.
 

Storm drain stenciling calls attention to the fact that debris left in the street eventually flushes to our lake.
