Storm Water Drain Filters

The Village of Lake Placid has begun installing these relatively
inexpensive filters in
locations where debris is most likely to find its way to Mirror
Lake. The filters are effective barriers for solids such as sand
and garbage. They do, however, require much more maintenance than
the Vortechs solution. Oils and detergents are not trapped by
these filters.
